A new Lidl grocery stories opens in Columbia Heights this month, while a Whole Foods also opens in the Takoma area at the slowly developing Walter Reed campus.
what’s on our minds?
A driver killed three people on Rock Creek Parkway earlier this year while fleeing a traffic stop. The driver also had multiple DUIs and $12k in unpaid tickets, but surprisingly, still had a valid driver’s license per the DMV (but not the courts). Since the crash, numerous issues with the aging computer system used by the DMV are coming to light, as well as a lack of connection between the DC DMV and DC Courts to inform of convictions.
