If you’ve walked along Prospect St in Georgetown, you’ve seen them - the two giant Transformers sculptures outside a rowhouse. If you haven’t, you might need to get there soon - a federal board seemingly put an end to a yearslong battle over the placement of the two sculptures, ruling that they must be removed. However, the homeowner has vowed to fight the ruling.
The Yellow Line of the Metro, closed since September for construction, will reopen on May 7. The train will run every 8 minutes (on weekdays) between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square.
