my weekly best bite: grilled avocado from Perry’s
José Andrés, after waiting out Trump, opened his newest restaurant in the former Trump hotel. The Bazaar, 8+ years in the making, opened Wednesday in the expansive Waldorf Astoria lobby.
On Tuesday, popular SoHo café Maman will open its Georgetown location, followed by a Union Market opening the next week. The new spots, plus an existing Bethesda location, will give the area three options to try the French all-day menu that includes coffee and cookies.

FRESHFARM workers, representing 28 markets around DC, voted to unionize. The employees will be represented by UFCW, which represents food and grocery workers. The FRESHFARM group likely marks the first farmer’s market in the country to unionize.
The Hirshorn teamed up with MTV for a new reality show, The Exhibit featuring seven artists competing to create an exhibit to be displayed in the modern art museum (and win $100k). The show premieres on MTV on March 3.
